We recently added the Canon EOS M2 to our site for a general review of the unit which is considered to be the second mirrorless camera produced by Canon with approximately 2.3x faster autofocus performance than its predecessor the Canon EOS M using the Hybrid CMOS AF II.

Although the Canon EOS M2 was released for its Japan and other Asian markets as of the moment, the Nippon Titan [Canon Japan] right after introduced its official sample images and sample videos published on its website.
The sample images published uses different shooting modes from Aperture-priority AE to Manual Exposure with different picture style from standard to portrait and from landscape to Auto. The sample images also were shot using various conditions such as ISO100, ISO200, and ISO400. Additionally, different lenses were being used including EF-M 18-55mm IS STM being its standard lens, EF-M 22mm STM its prime lens, the EF-M 11-22mm IS STM the newest added EF-M lens and even the EF and EF-S lenses using the EF-EOS M mount adapter such as the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, EF 8-15mm f4L Fisheye USM and the EF 85mm f/1.8 USM.
It may not sounds great to everyone with a personal note to consider however, let us try to check the images below.
I considered the above image as the best sample shot for the Canon EOS M2. As you may notice on the picture, the image quality is excellent and on its finest. The exposure program and/or the shooting mode used is the Aperture-priority AE focusing the subject while using the AF point system. On the sample picture, you may also notice that the AF point focuses on the left eye and face of the model (or right eye and face on the image). At ISO400 with exposure time at 1/125 sec, the image is noise-free and vividly sharp.

So we tried to zoom the sample image at about 100% with the aid of the Adobe Photoshop program and cropped the image without enhancing and/or editing thus preserving its original EXIF data. As you can see on the image below, there is still no noise and the image is still clear. This may point that at ISO400 with auto white balance and pattern metering mode, the Canon EOS M2 can produce as much as noise-free and excellent image quality.
